Baraza - A restaurant of your dreams. I've recently visited this restaurant in Ishanya mall and it was the best decision for me. The experience was completely surprising and the company which I had made it memorable. Baraza bars and bites give you a classic experience of dining in Open-area with a great view. The restaurant is a replica of the beachside restaurant which gives you the open wide space for seating outside and a nice shady area inside with a lively bar. So basically the restaurant is spreaded in a huge area which has 3 seating options starting with a wide open area, a live bar counter with small tables and dance area with live DJ. Baraza offers a complete package to everyone from couples to big groups to families. Let's get started with the main thing then - They've recently launched a new menu and I was here to try it. Food - The plating and presentation were top notch. I was totally in love with the food presentation. It was so appealing that without tasting a bit I was in love with most of the dishes. They serve almost every dish in a fusion way, desi dish with Baraza twist to be exact. You get the desi taste in a dish with a nice Baraza twist which is something to try. Service - Service was top notch. Everyone was so attentive and we didn't have to call the staff guy twice for anything. The plates were changed the time to time between the courses with the utensils and everything was nice and clean. Masala Paneer Poppers - A nice snack from the Vegetarian side. Deep fried balls stuffed with minced masala paneer and spicy cheddar cheese. The poppers were accompanied with fried crispy onion rings and a layer of Baraza special sauce at the bottom. The coating of poppers was perfect and had a nice crispy texture which was followed by creamy cheddar cheese and mild paneer stuffing. Poppers tasted great with the onion rings and the Baraza sauce which I think was a thick cheese spiced mixture. Turkish Chicken Wings - It was desi chicken lollipop with a fusion of Turkish spice marination. The dish was impressively good and gave a nice lemony flavor in each and every bite. The lollipop was cooked perfectly in tandoor and had that nice burnt edges with earthy texture. The Turkish masalas which were used in marination had Sumac ( which has a dominant lemony taste) and Urfa biber (smoky and slightly sweet pepper flakes). The marination was right on point and as I took the first bite of lollipop the lemony flavored blasted on my mouth and it was consistent throughout the meat. The combination of lemony dominant flavor with juicy meat and smoky texture is something different than the regular kebab and I loved it. We always had spicy strong flavored chicken tandoori and lollipop in India but the mild flavor of this lollipop with tangy, lemony punch was something I loved to try as change. Salli Boti- Great presentation. The dish was given with fried potato basket. The mutton was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The salli boti had medium thick gravy and it was basically a mixture of onions, tomatoes, and Parsi mild spices. So because of that, it had a nice sweet, tangy hint with good mild flavors of spices. The perfectly cooked lamb with juicy texture complimented the gravy nicely. It was a good dish to try if you love mutton. Malwani Prawns - Another desi dish with a twist. We usually get a bit watery gravy when we order malwani gravy but here the gravy was bit thicker and totally different and in a good way different. The fresh juicy prawns were used in gravy which had a nice layer of cream on top of it which gave a nice creamy start to a tangy thick gravy. The gravy was given with in-house garlic bread which was a perfect combination. The gravy had curry leaves in it which gave a nice flavor twist and the taste was perfect. It was something which I tried the first time and I loved it. Shanghai Veg Dumplings - A must appetizer for Vegetarians and dumpling lovers. A thinly coated dumplings stuffed with super juicy filling. The filling was a mixture of corn and coriander. The dumplings were given with soy ginger sauce which was a perfect complimenting sauce for a juicy dumpling like this. When I took the first bite of dumpling the juices from filling just overwhelmed my entire mouth. The dumpling with soy sauce tasted even better as the tangy, bit spicy flavor of sauce complimented very well to the juicy taste of filling. Bombil Rawa Fry - I never imagined getting such good quality desi seafood dish here. The bombil was super fresh and it was coated with crispy rawa fry which was again coated from inside with green thecha type spicy, tangy chutney. I enjoyed eating this dish as it's seafood delicacy of the Malwani region. The crispy coating of rawa gave a nice crunchy texture which then followed by spicy, tangy hint of chutney which ended with juicy bombil. Misal In brioche Bread - Another fusion dish which didn't appeal to me. It was an in-house brioche preparation which had traditional misal in it which had a nice layer of melted goat cheese. The Farsan on misal was followed by melted cheese and then misal sabji. The melted cheese never go well with misal and it changes all the basic taste of it. The bread was superb and it was fresh but then again, the fusion didn't go well for me. Champagne saute wild mushrooms on Khari toast - This will be the most appealing dish on the table. The combination of Khari with mushroom was perfect and the texture of both things complemented each other perfectly. The Khari was in-house and super crispy. The Khari was topped with a layer of melted cheese and the sauteed mushrooms were stuffed in between two kharis. It was a Khari hot dog kind of thing which had mushroom as filling. The first you bite into Khari and mushroom the creamy cheese followed by soft crispy Khari just feels good in the mouth and then the juicy mushroom is ready to add some another level of juiciness. A perfect appetizer for me. Baraza Chicken - Our normal traditional chicken tikka topped with melted Baraza sauce. The tikka was perfect with nice earthy flavor and juicy texture but then again it didn't have any wow thing in it. It was simple tikka with sauce on it nothing else. The Baraza sauce actually minimized the flavor of the juicy chicken. The combination didn't go well for me. Kheema Pav - Another great preparation from Kitchen. The bowl of Kheema was a perfect example of love at first sight for a Foodie. It was also again topped with cream and given with in-house pav. The kheema had medium size minced meat with a slightly spicy hint and more if a sweet juicy taste because of butter and cream used in it. I felt it could've been better if it was minced more to give a nice soft texture and an extra spicy kick to give a nice satisfaction while eating with pav. Still, it tasted perfect as the creamy texture of kheema with good flavors went pretty well with in-house pav. Chicken Khurchan - A good dish to have with Roti. It was a thickly textured gravy dish which was based on onion, tomato, curry leaves, and capsicum. The mixture gave a nice tangy, sweet taste to it and the juicy chicken went well with the flavor. The roti balanced out the taste and played a great role. Desserts- This time every single dessert was superbly presented like 10/10 and the taste blew my mind. I don't have much knowledge about desserts but what I had was simply great. Nutella Creme Brulee with pistachio and almond biscotti - The brulee was just superb. It had a nice layer of crunchy sugar coating which gave an entrance to a Nutella heaven. The Nutella creme was gooey and had a nice balanced taste of Nutella. The almond biscuit gave a nice simple crispy taste to go with dessert. Hazelnut Mousse with Homemade Vanilla Ice cream & honeycomb crumbles - Dark chocolate soft mousse which literally melted in the mouth which was accompanied with in-house malai textured vanilla ice cream. This was the best dessert you'll get here and its a must try. Blueberry Cheesecake - The cake was good and had a nice soft texture. It was given with fresh chopped fruits in syrup which had dragonfruit and kiwi in it. The cheesecake had nice soft texture throughout the cake and nice blueberry flavor. Overall Verdict- I was surprised with the food and dessert as I never expected to get such good things here. The experience was undoubtedly the best and I enjoyed my time at Baraza. I will definitely recommend this restaurant for all of my followers because its a must try.

Energetic ambience and good liquor with great service though we had to wait for like an hour for the table but it was worth it. And not to forget music was damn good with some good crowd.

Baraza Bars & Bites! Baraza is located in Creaticity mall in yerwada and serves North Indian, Asian and Finger food. The décor of this place is simple and elegant. They have multiple seating arrangements like alfresco, indoor, and bar area, the seating closed to street lights in the outdoor area impressed me a lot and is something which I had never seen. We were seated in the indoor area which was comfortable. The restaurant has a good seating capacity of around 220 pax and the space planning of this place is nicely done and doesn’t feel congested. I visited this place for #foodtasting Mocktails Soul Burner: Kokum, Chilly, Cilantro, Lime, this was one of the best mocktails that I have tasted, the kokum, lime and green chilly punch was perfectly balanced and was truly refreshing #Musthave Basil & Ginger Fizz: Muddied Basil, Ginger, Lime with Fizz, it had grated ginger and muddied basil; I felt that it had excessive amount of crushed ice which diluted the punch of the drink. Starters Rawa Bombil [Rs 290]: Bombil a.k.a Bombay duck was coated in a green masala and rawa and then deep fired was brilliantly done, it was cripy on the outside and was not oily, it went well along with a raw mango dip which had a sweet and tangy taste. #Highlyrecommended Turkish Tandoori Wings [Rs 290]: It was a chicken tandoori lollypop done in mild spices was well cooked and was good in taste, it was served along with a thin yogurt and coriander based dip which was also nicely done. #Recommended Malwani Prawns [Rs 395]: Medium sized prawns prepared in a malvani masala was not prepared in a traditional way, but in their own version with a creamy gravy having spices and curry leaf, it was good in taste, it was served along with buttered garlic pav, I was really impressed with the pav quality which was in house prepared and was soft and fresh. #Recommended The Baraza [Rs 310]: Chicken kebab done in medium spicy marinate was topped with the queso sauce which was smooth and creamy and was good in taste, it was not at all spicy as mentioned in the dish description, the chicken was well cooked, I couldn’t find any noticeable difference in the same. Masala Paneer Poppers [Rs 260]: The round shaped Paneer poppers and finely minced paneer coated with bread crumbs which were then deep fried, it had nicely melted cheese in the center, it was placed on a cruncy onion rings along with the baraza sauce and was good in taste. Veg Shanghai Dumplings [Rs 220]: A veg dumpling which really impressed me a lot, it had thin coating and was stuffed with mixture of chives, sweet corn and broccoli and herbs was superb in taste, it was served along with a sweet spicy soy and garlic based dipping sauce which was full of flavors. #Highlyrecommended Wild Mushroom on Khari Toast [Rs 240]: Champagne sautéed finely minced wild mushrooms were stuffed in an in house prepared khari and was truly delicious, the mushroom stuffing was rich and creamy in taste and the khari was crispy and not too flaky like the regular bakery khari’s that we get in market, I loved the texture of this khari. #Recommended Misal Fondue [Rs 220]: Misal in a buttered brioche bread & goat cheese fondue didn’t impress me, I love to have misal in the most simple form and don’t prefer to alter the recipe by adding cheese to it, the misal stuffed in the bread tasted like a sprouts bhaji to me and was lacking flavors and spices, however the brioche bread was nicely done, it was crispy on the outside and was dense in texture. #Disappointed Mains Chicken Khurchan [Rs 360]: The dish had boneless chicken pieces pan fried along with onion rings, capsicum, tomatoes, spices and mustard seeds and was superb in taste, it has slit green chilies which made it a bit spicy than the usual and the thick gravy was aromatic. It went well along with butter roti. #Highlyrecommended Desserts Hazelnut Mousse [Rs 245]: Hazelnut mousse was served along with vanilla ice cream and was truly heavenly. The mousse had small pieces of crispy hazelnuts in between the layers and was creamy, light and rich in taste. #Highlyrecommended Nutella Brulee [Rs 225]: The Nutella brulee was rich, creamy, perfect on sweetness level and was excellent in taste, it was paired up with a crunchy toast with dry fruits which was good but I think that the brulee tasted well without it as well. #Highlyrecommended Blueberry Cheesecake [Rs 245]: The blueberry cheesecake was also nicely done, it was served along with small pieces of freshly cut fruits like dragon fruit, kiwi, mangoes in a shot glass which I felt was not required. The cheesecake was creamy, light and covered with a a thin layer of white chocolate from 3 sides. #Recommended Overall: Service was prompt and restaurant was hygienic, Staff was polite and courteous, Special thanks to Mr Victor who was taking care of our table and he made sure we had a memorable evening. Thanks to Sasha Anand for extending the invite and hosting us. Location: Unit No 10, Pubtown, Creaticity Mall, Shashtrinagar, Yerwada, Pune
